One thing that caught my eye in chat while taking photos for Around Azeroth:

It's a brew you get as part of a Wolvar Daily. It's the one that involves the berrys and the booze to great a brew that helps you kick Oracle butt. Drinking the ale makes you a little bigger every 10 seconds, and it stacks a lot, resulting in huge characters.

You can no longer do this. It got "hotfixed" or nerfed. The drink you need to get has been removed, now they give you the final product not the growing drink.
Wich is bull**** if you ask me. Why they always take the fun stuff away...I mean come on. They coded it to stack and all? *roll eyes* I hope its oversight not joy killing.

Its one of the effects from the witch doctor in the darkspear village. (Durotar/echo isles)
effects include being hexxed, thrown in the air, being reduced in size, and off course, being 50 feet tall for about 10 to 15 seconds.
I don't know the class of the said supersized elf, but i'm guessing shes a mage who took made a portal and jumped in as soon as she got the supersize-me buff.
Either that, or a warlock summoned her into Dalaran.
So you'd have to ask Belt or Hobbs about it :)

The spell doesn't make you THAT big. To get to this size, the elf probably did everything they could; take the potion, eat the feast, get the spell.
She might even have been Bloodlusted by whatever shaman put that Earth Shield on her.

This is doable on current live servers. I have seen this from one player on my realm as well, a nelf DK.
At the time I first saw them the only buffs or debuffs on them were standard DK stuff and a random drink buff that restores mana, but mentioned nothing about size increases. Either this drink that I forget the name of has an un-tooltipped size increasing effect, or there is some way to glitch the game to get so large.

You can get the growth buff from the witch doctor buffed twice for stacking effects.

:o Theres also an NPC in Sholozar who gives a brew that can make you huge. Can take patience to get so big since it tends to make you puke when you use it too much, but I think thats probably how it happened. Witchdoctor with 2 buffs (works if you logout and get one before it expires) + feast + firewater + bloodlust would also make you pretty big.
Looks like shes going to the alliance district to catch some gnomes anyway poor buggers :( would probably be about bite size at her height ;)
