Reminder: Last chance for BlizzCon 2010 tickets tomorrow, June 5

Did you miss out on purchasing tickets last Wednesday evening on June 2? Don't worry! You still have a shot at getting tickets for BlizzCon, which will be taking place October 22-23 in Anaheim, California! This is just a reminder that the next round of ticket sales will be available tomorrow, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. PDT / 1:00 p.m. EDT. Remember, you can only purchase a maximum of five tickets per household. Jay Mohr will be hosting BlizzCon again this year. Ticket prices are $150 each and they will sell out quickly! Make sure you're online and ready to go at the Blizzard Store or the BlizzCon website in the morning.
If you can't score tickets, the DirecTV Pay Per View event might help satisfy your hunger for the Blizzard event. It's only $39.95 and you get access to the multi-channel internet stream. If you've purchased the internet stream, you can switch between a variety of channels to watch different areas of BlizzCon. In other words, you get watch the events you care about more than others!

Buying tickets online nowadays is such a scam, they sell out in 500ms so goodluck. Just like trying to buy good concert tickets.
dAnixx Jun 4th 2010 11:47AM
And the worse thing is most of them will be resold on ebay

Blizzard is good about taking down the tickets from eBay very soon after they appear. Scalpers *might* find a way, but they might also find it such a pain that they back off in future years. I'm pretty sure most people really are like you or I, trying to snag tickets to actually attend.

Someone posted on another thread that, after you are in que, when the chance to purchase pops up, you have the ability to change the number of tickets you want to purchase. Can anyone who got through confirm if this is true or not?
Thanks!

Yes, that is correct. I changed my order from 3 to 4 on Wednesday at checkout.

Please stop saying that the BlizzCon site is an option for buying tickets. The "Buy Tickets" button is inactive (javascript:void(0)) and won't be activated when the tickets come on sale. I found this out the hard way on Wednesday.
If you logged into battle.net from the Blizzard Store site before the tickets went on sale, you couldn't access the page where the tickets were actually being sold -- it simply forwarded you to the Blizzard Store homepage. I believe they realized this and fixed it for the second round.
Sorry if I sound rude, I was pissed, hehe.

@RJ
You can change the quantity once you are in your 15 minute window. I initially picked only 4 tickets, but when my friend wound up at 15000 in queue, I changed to 5 at checkout to get him his ticket.

Thanks! The 2 seconds it took me to switch it to two tickets probly made me too high in que last round. After clicking to two, then getting in que, I was number 6207. So close. This will help tomorrow! GL everyone trying to get tickets!!!

Yep. This is the way to do it. I was around 1400 when I did this and a friend was around 8000 when he switched it a second later. Got mine and his when there was 48% stock left. He was around 4500 when they sold out.

Is there any DirectTV or Blizzard information page, to do with the on-line streaming event? It's been mentioned in several places, but only sketchy details have been given.
Is that just because there's no need to rush and details will come later? I am assuming so, as I haven't seen any information about the in-game item either.
Antonius.Prime Jun 4th 2010 12:30PM
Seconded. Is there any link to the Direct TV stream page?
Or a page that you can buy it?
It's like Direct TV are disavowing all knowledge of Blizzcon...

So is it safe to say be on the blizz store logged or battlenet site logged on to purchase tickets? Or stay hovering on the Blizzcon site?
mtapper Jun 4th 2010 12:20PM
Yes.
They originally had http://us.blizzard.com/store/index.xml show the ticket purchase page if you weren't logged into battle.net. If you logged in beforehand, it would take you to the Blizzard Store homepage instead.
Now the actual ticket purchase page has its own address, and I've tested to see whether or not the page will still appear if you are logged in to bnet prior to clicking. It works. Here you go, good luck!

DO NOT go to the BlizzCon website to buy your tickets.

How does one obtain a Press Pass to said event? Thanks!!!
Rob Jun 4th 2010 12:24PM
Wonders if PPV will still suck. Wonder how many people will get PPV in absence of a in-game reward.
Rich Jun 4th 2010 12:32PM
I was 4th in line and didn't get tix on Wed :(
Rich Jun 4th 2010 12:32PM
4,000th* even...
jfofla Jun 4th 2010 2:14PM
Last year I think the cutoff for getting tickets was 3000 in line. So I imagine this year was the same. If you are not under 3000 when the queue shows up, you are out of luck.

Has there been a statement by BLIZZARD about the ticket scalpers? (the people who buy 5 and sell them for about $500.00 on craigslist, ebay etc?
