For Gnomeregan! Team ups

Hey. Kixi Sparklebolt here again. Some of you have told me that you have training buddies or are teaming up for stuff. This. This is exactly the kind of initiative I want to see from all of you.
I also have a training buddy. Darkpeep is quiet and weird and I'm not sure all of her brain was reanimated with the rest of her, but together we are practicing our battle skills on the Horde. Darkpeep is her nickname, obviously, but she won't even tell me her full name. Does she remember it? I don't know!
We have been participating in the battle for Arathi Basin and are really honing our skills. Well, I am. Everything seems to come naturally to Darkpeep, like she was already a veteran Death Knight in another life or something. She also has this insight into the Horde that is uncanny! I find myself learning a lot from her.
I want to hear your team up stories, even if they weren't very successful. We often learn more from failures after all. Oh, and feel free to drink from the keg provided by Hardcider. Maybe it will loosen your tongues a bit.
No, not directly from the keg! Use a stein!
Dwarves. Sheesh.
Please join us by telling us a story from any team ups you have participated in recently (real or imagined) or something else of interest while staying in character. If you are new, why have you joined the army? All the World's a Stage is a great resource and this guest post by Anna is a must-read for making new characters.

Chef Issabelt here again. Lately I've been working with a sister pair of Draenei. Tatakani is a shaman and her sister Natakani is a Death knight. We're a a great trio Nata tanks it, Tata smashes it and I blast it. So far we've managed to kill anything we've fought before it really manages to hurt us. We're still practicing on food beasts right now, which is helping me stock up my larder to provide rations for the offensive. Anyways were having a great time getting ready and can't wait for the offensive to start!

I've had a great deal of help from Jaegir. Somehow, when I was even newer than I am now, I forgot to bring enough arrows to kill those danged leper gnomes, and I'm no good as a melee hunter. Fortunately for me, Jaegir was kind enough to send me thousands of arrows, and even a bow that I'll be able to use when I'm a little stronger. It was so nice of him, I owe him a lot of ales at the inn...

I have a great partnership with another death knight like me called leltzki, the dead spacegoat. We are 2 draenei sisters who are honing our skills in icecrown. We are also toughening up in Alterac valley to prepare us against the final fight against our sworn enemy, The Lich King. I am the older sibling however i am still the weakest and letzki likes to brag about that in my face however we are still a happy family.
Gampher Jun 6th 2010 5:36PM
Hello! Ol' Gampher Gyrolock here! If it spins around and locks down tight please remit my royalty payment! It takes a lot of potions and elixirs to keep a gnome my age going, and they aren't cheap! Gyrolocks are so much better than plain old nuts, washers, and those awful rubber o-rings. So use them generously, you engineers! Keep ol' Gampher alive and kicking, and killing sea giants! Yes, I said sea giants. There's a story there.
Ahem... Where was I? Oh. Last week, hitting the books. Hitting them hard, and... Teaming up! Turns out that the Library at the Scarlet Monastery was quite obliging, what for all their attempts to kill me and my cohorts who simply wanted a book or two. After some persuasion, they practically... No, no, I think... Literally fell over themselves to help us. Yes... Fell over themselves in a heap. I hope we didn't persuade them too hard.
Getting that Book of the Ancients was another matter. I took young Razzell along to help. Apparently this foolish old gnome failed to properly inform the lad of our target, a naga. As we stood on the island, he pointed at a distant sea giant.
"Is that who we're after?" asked Razzell.
I sized up the giant. He was... Big. He was also moving a half-league a minute, a frightful clip, especially considering he was half the size of Stormwind cathedral.
"No," I said, "Run!"
It was then and there that we swore our revenge on sea giants.
Not a day later, I was speaking with a pirate captain, one Heckleberry Smotts, who himself had been the victim of the sea giants. Smotts was offering a reward for the return of his chest, in the possession of a sea giant named Gorlash. Razzell devised a clever plan. He would summon a water elemental to distract the giant, and while the giant was focused on fighting the elemental, we'd attack with our strongest spells.
Remarkably the plan worked perfectly. In fact, it worked so well we rushed off to try it again on Mok'Rash, Gorlash's bigger brother. To our utter astonishement the plan worked just as well the second time! Smotts was beside himself, and rewarded us generously.
Alas, the third giant on our list, Negolash, would not be so easy, for one thing alone: he dwelt in the depths, and would only come to the surface for his favorite meal of Barbecue Buzzard Wings, and Junglevine Wine. That alone was enough to stop the two of us in our tracks.
Neither of us was enough of a cook, and there was no ready source of barbecue buzzard wings. Razzell was quick to obtain a recipe, but neither of us had the skill to pull it off.
There was nothing left to it. One of us was going to have to attend cooking classes.
Razzell, who is otherwise quite personable, has one very annoying trait. He has elevated begging off to an art form. He insisted that I be the one to take the cooking classes, as he had a sudden and deep-seated need to recuse a princess, then proceeded to describe the plight of said princess in detail, the consequenses of not rescuing her, and so forth, to the point where I was eager to see him off, praising him for his valor and chivalry.
And so began another week of hitting the books. Cookbooks this time. I spent the entire week on cooking and gathering ingredients for cooking, and learning new recipes. Finally I learned Negolash's favorite meal.
Razzell and I enlisted the aide of the dwarf paladin known as Daemonwolf, because I'd heard that Negolash had a nasty habit of knocking folks back, which would really really hurt cloth-wearing mages like myself and Razzell. We gathered at the southern cape of Stranglethorn, and I placed the food in the wreck of Smott's lifeboat.
"I SMELL FOOD!" bellowed Negolash as he rose from the deep, and the fight was on. Daemonwolf, utterly fearless, stood his ground directly in front of the giant. Razzell stood to the left with his water elemental, casting frostbolts, and I stood to the right, alone, casting arcane missiles. At first, Negolash lunged at the elemental, but quickly turned and attacked Daemonwolf. I'm not at all sure if the sea giant actually hit our dwarven friend, because before we knew it, Negolash was falling forward rather than rushing forward, and suddenly, he was dead.
"Ow," said Daemonwolf, "He's oan mah heid. I cannae breath!"
"That's it?" said Razzell, "Negolash, a weakling?"
"I suppose so," I replied, "Let's get Daemonwolf out from under."
So much for sea giants.
Did I mention Uldaman? No? Well, perhaps I should let others do that then.

So, this was how Phylemia, Shear, a helpful mage, Baldorf, and I (Razzell, Gnome mage) killed Alexi Barov.
I was sent by Weldon Barov to kill his undead brother and take his head. I gathered Phylemia, Shear, and Baldorf to help me. Shear was running late. We had to attack and run away then hide multiple times to throw off suspicion while waiting for him. A Troll hunter and undead rogue were waiting in ambush every time. A mage arrived and agreed to help us, because Weldon Barov did not have confidence in us and sent another to help. Unfortunately, right before the attack, Phylemia was taken by something and had to rest on the sidelines while we attacked. The mage, Baldorf, and I attacked and killed Alexi with ease. (Shear said it was OK to start without him.) The troll hunter was killed also, for he had tried to stop us. We gathered Alexi's head and went to collect the rewards, but little did we know the rogue was waiting to kill us, waiting ahead of us. Luckily, Shear came before us, and killed the rogue before he killed us. We thanked Shear, and went off to collect the rewards, for real this time.

From the journal of Phylemia
This time since my last journal entry has been quite an eventful one for me. I had decided to spend some time perfecting both my cooking and inscription, which I am happy to say, is coming along quite nicely. I had wish I'd known about Gampher's need for Barbequed Buzzard Wings earlier, for at the time, I had enough on me to feed a Gnomish army, thanks to a series of quests where I had to dispatch a multitude of the carrion feeders. It seems that we need to work on our communication better. Anyhow, my adventures have taken me all over Azeroth, from the deserts of Tanasis, to the snow capped peaks of Winterspring, and literally everywhere in between, perfecting all my skills while trying to help those in need. I still like to work alone, though I'm never by myself. The elemental spirits of Azeroth are a constant companion, which my compartiots have a hard time understanding. It is what hinders my development as a 'team player' as the gnomes would say, though I am getting a bit better at it. I'm sure over time, I'll find my niche among my new, if confusing friends. Until next time....

Well I think I've been eyebrows deep in the books and training I've barely had time to team up. I've delved deep into some of the most powerful Holy tomes and find myself becoming quietly confident as a healer.
In this capacity I convinced another in B.L.O.G to join me on an exploration of Dire Maul, a place amok with natures experiments gone wrong and some fel demons to boot. Now I must apologise - it seems not all team ups work out well and this was not the fault at all of my esteemed companion Gilnas. He seems to have it in his head he is bad luck but it really was me that convinced him to come in the first place.
We found three other adventurers to join us in our exploration however despite my best efforts I couldn't keep the Death Knight who was holding the monsters attention alive. Through some miracle of the light and some emergency role switching by Gilnas (it turns out some skilled druids can fill many roles in one combat) we managed to scrape ourselves off the floor and recover from the brink of total annihilation.
It turns out that despite many of us spending many long hours learning our talents so that we can work well in a team this Death Knight had not had that same plan. I will have to apologise to him I think because I may have been a bit rude at that point and not quite as humble and accepting as Brother Paxton would teach but I allowed the moment to get the better of me - still alot to learn in this pursuit of the light.
I hope you all have better luck than me and Gilnas. and may the Light be with you - Kibb Deepforge

This is my first meeting here with you, so I'd like to introduce myself a bit. My name is Naggle. Although I am a Gnome, I have lived in Stormwind all my life as I was taken in by the orphanage in Stormwind at an early age. I honestly know nothing of real Gnomish life.
I have been taking work in Stormwind as a maid for a few years now, but when I heard of the effort to retake Gnomeregan from the Troggs and their evil ruler I was seized by a sudden desire to find my Gnomish roots, and I wanted to join in the liberation of our wondrous city!
I have no talent for magics, or the gnomish arts of enginiferication (I hope i said that right), so I bought a sword and shield with my savings and came to join up!
Since then I've been training, on my own. I have been a bit confused about that actually. I am in communication with some other members of our army, but I haven't actually done anything with them with the exception of one excellent incident where Kipp and Daemonwolf came to help me against some very strong evildoers in Stormwind.
But I am told to, "Go forth, quest, and gain in strength until you are ready to join the stuggle!" So that is what I have been doing. I have travelled in the dwarvish lands, as well as back to the more comfortable areas around stormwind that I am more used to. I have made forays into Gnomeregan itself! (Indeed I thought that the team of adventurers that I had joined had defeated the menace, but later learned that weI had been deceived). And I do feel that I am gaining in strength, although Kipp and Daemonwolf showed me that I have much further to go.
I am still confused however, since I assume when we do storm Gnomeregan it will be as a full army instead of as individuals. Or at least all the stories I have heard have told it so.
Well it is probably my fault. In my work as a maid I did most of the cleaning when everyone was asleep, so I have developed a fondness for training and questing at night.

**swaggers in from her adventures. Face covered in dust, clothes disheveled, her hair tangled and knotted. Deep dark circles around her eyes, and missing her favorite earring.**
Friends, I am weary. I have been to the Other World and back far too often of late. If it wasn't for my growing abilities in the dark arts, I might have never made it back to our world.
Often my teaming up happens between my minions Konrath, Betreth, or Quzbis and myself. Often they are successful and we have learned to work together wonderfully, despite the distrust between us. Oh never mind that... it's nothing really.
I have had a few opportunities to team with other adventurers in completing my assignments. We cleared the riot in the Stormwind Stockades. Heads, Hands and the complete tale of the Defias Brotherhood were ours by the end of the night. Outcome is successful but getting there was trying. The lesson I learned... be sure the company you keep is knowledgeable of the task at hand.
I will continue to find others to team with out of necessity and little more.

*brushes chaff from her arms and legs and sighs* Aye, an' I wish I had a tale t' regale y' with! Howe'er, this past week I made th' mistake o' stoppin' by m' family home ... An' I was summarily drafted inter helpin' get th' latest stock o' summer brew ready fer shippin' out. I guess tha's sorta like teamwork, but not wi' m' guildmates. Trust me, I'd rather ha'e a tale o' wonder t' treat ye to!
I plan my escape t'night, though. In a few hours, I'll be free t' adventure once more. Tha' is, if I don' wake anyone on m' way out!
