well, with the ICC 5s, mobs and bosses last long enough to practice working on basic rotation in a game-situation, as opposed to dummies. at least, it's enough to get the basic flavor.
it'll be enough to learn "omg, i hate shadow priest play and would rather level my mage/warlock/druid/rogue in order to dps" or "this is kinda fun, i think i want to learn how to raid and to do it well".
will it teach the subtleties of awesome spriest play? no. will it enable a shadow virgin to get a little bit better of the feel than a target dummy, with a minimal gold/effort investment? yes.
