I usually end up doing what you did, but will also /w the targeted player and let them know what I think personally, and how I agree with them. It's been a while since the situation has continued for a while like it sounds your situation had; when that happens, I will eventually speak up for common sense.The new LFD tool is certainly a very sharp, double-edged sword. Unfortunately it seems the increased anonymity of playing with others you probably won't see again tends to bring out the worst in some people, whereas it brings out the best in others.

I'm with you on the whispering. I've made a couple of neat cross-realms friendships with people just by giving them an encouraging "don't sweat those guys, you're in the right" whisper. If the abuse is over the top I /ignore those guys so I don't have the displeasure of running with them again. Being a tank, I have a large pool of players to LFG with so no harm done.
