After having read a lot of articles here and elsewhere about how people struggle to find good tanks, how you either get a-holes or just plain noobs (pardon the language), I've always tried to be a fair and decent tank. Not rushing unnecessarily, not flaming people with gear lvls lower than mine, being considerate of newer healers and players in general. I try to not just quit a group after the 1st wipe, since I know how long deeps have to wait fro tanks to swing round, but sometimes, just sometimes....
I have found myself in a lot of groups with trigger happy, overeager dps (hunters mostly, sorry) who will egg me on to go faster or the like, will ninja pull random mob groups (without MDing me, or FDing after) and then I'm left to run arround like a headless chicken trying to pickup all the loose ends, since the other dpsers are inevitable targeting entirely diffrent mobs aswell. After a wipe caused by such events, if said instigator actually has the gall to then call me a noob tank or a moron etc, I will drop group, I will not argue, I will not taunt that player, I will not do anything for that group from that moment on. I am really sorry, but I am an adult who gets hassled at work all day in the same manner, I wont stand to be inuslted by a 14 year old who needs a good smack against the head.
That's how I deal with it. Call me stupid, but sticking around trying to argue with children or childish adults who get their jollies off from enraging other people, really isn't a way I want to spend my time in wow. That's also why I find the /ignore function such a blessing.
/end rant

Personally, that is why I would love a /dopeslap emote. Just a polite reminder...

I play a hunter as my main, and used to take offense at comments about "huntards". Then I started leveling a tankadin, and now I understand the hunter-hate. :*(
I don't know why it's so hard for most hunters to simply follow a few easy dps rules - don't pull for the tank unless asked, hold your horses and let the tank get aggro before you open up, and freakin' misdirect (once you've got it).
I do my best never to be "that hunter" but I have no sympathy for anyone who thinks their dps meter is the be all and end all of life.

You know, I used to have the 'headless chicken' mindframe when people pulled ahead of my tanking and I had to desperately pull them back but now I have the mentality of: If you pull before I do, enjoy having it eat your face. I'm not bothering with it.
