Looks like we orcs have taken up residence in the TB suburbs. Ah, the country life. Farm livin' - now that's the life for me! The chores! Fresh air!

The free fields, the open skies, the pile of tauren meat over ther- no wait WHAT?

Dear god. I just read the plot summaries of several horror movies, and I was hoping to come to WoW.com to clear my mind before I went to bead so I wasn't haunted by what I had read. This is *not* what I need right now.
Kurash Jun 8th 2010 10:08PM
I love that they're armored pigs. The orcs want their meals to be able to defend themselves!
splodesondeath Jun 8th 2010 10:12PM
Blizzard has confirmed that this is actually Farmville 2.
Ata Jun 8th 2010 10:16PM
Huh. So they stole pigs from the Quillboar? Oddly enough, seeing this type of npc there makes me way more curious than any of the other Cata screens so far.
Durana Jun 9th 2010 3:36AM
Or it could be that the quillboar have set up another camp for themselves, and were lonely enough to bring their battle-piggies with them. :)

Razorbacks is a little too literal now.
Shade Jun 8th 2010 10:36PM
Battleboars actually look like battle-ready boars wut
bondagedoll Jun 17th 2010 7:02PM
They look like terminator pigs! :P

Wheather Effect. Does raining now also make puddles?
Pat Jun 9th 2010 12:13AM
I hope so.
I also hope that you can see a reflection in these puddles, I can see it now.. world PvP video's will all start with an undead rogue looking at himself in the puddle.. then the camera pans out and he goes stealth. "Fade to black" Or some other Metallica song then begins to play and the rest of the vid will be mindless ganking. BUT if the intro is good people will watch right?
Maybe I've gone to far >.>

I see Camp Narache on the right edge of the picture, in the background. That's an imposing change to the Tauren starting area. Durotar has pig farms, are the Orcs pushing their influence elsewhere? Or is it Quilboar expansion from Brambleblade Ravine into the Red Cloud Mesa? My bet is on the latter.
Cadychan Jun 8th 2010 11:15PM
No, sadly, it's the Quillboar expanding their territory. :(
ash Jun 9th 2010 2:17AM
Yeah, those boars look like the ones from Razorfen.
AppleJuice Jun 8th 2010 11:01PM
Remeber how Blizz said hunters would be getting a racial pet at level 1 and then normal taming at 10? My money is that Tauren's pet is a boar.
Noah Jun 8th 2010 11:03PM
Damn, I wanted my tauren's pet to be another tauren.

Reroll on an RP server...
I am *kidding*!
(or am I?)
Undra Jun 9th 2010 10:59AM
Well, most of the wildlife a Tauren sees is Coyotes, Cougars, and Plainstriders. Adding Armored Boars that early for a starting hunter to tame is a very nice gesture.
Worrisome lorewise, of course. Were the Quillboar pushed out of their bramble valleys and into Horde territory?
In a way, I feel a little better. Horde vs Quillboar was basically territorial expansion by an imperial power, though we did tend to put our settlements out of the way of theirs. Knowing Thrall, he offered the olive branch first and when diplomacy inevitably failed gave his commanders permission to use the battleaxe. Every other conflict since then was the Quillboar trying to take retake land or just raid supplies to make our occupation of the Barrens a living Hell. (Too late guys, it already is.)
Now internal politics and natural disasters have caused the world super power a loss of territory and the leadership is being taken over by War-Hawks who want to resume expanding and wipe out all threats to its hold on power.
Wait, what was I talking about?
Oh yeah, yay battle-pigs!

A smart move by the Tauren. Anyone who comes looking for beef will be distracted by the tasty, tasty bacon.
