(One of my most frequently suggested tips for DPSers and tanks is to use Grid as a raid monitor. )I use Conditioner myself, as a Warrior tank -- all I need to know is if the raid's ready for the next pull. If anyone's dead or low on mana, the top-left corner of my screen -- for that is where I've placed the addon -- has a big red cross. :D

I do the same type of thing, except WITH grid. I made Grid pretty small at the top-left cornet, and set to show with obvious red indicators on who has aggro, and just yellow if they're starting to pull high threat.
