VuhDo is a very nice and will done addon and the best looking one I have looked at, the guy who made it did an awsome job, sadly it's so daunting that I didn't even know where to begain to set it up, Reading pages of directions is not my thing and it cuts on play time. Healbot was easy to figure out and to set up and use. To me it made healing so less hectic

You can probably ignore most of VuhDo except for the spells screen at the start. Once you feel comfortable with it, start modifying the look and have a look at the other options.
As VuhDo is for all types of character, there will be options that are fairly irrelevant for a healer, helpful ones are range checking and cluster checking (checks if there are a bunch of players stood near each other that will benefit from a group heal like Wild Growth or Chain Heal). Cluster checking is mostly unnecessary unless you're in raid groups though (raid dungeons or PvP).
Things that are useful for all characters include threat bars, showing who has aggro and separating pets into their own frame.
