I use Grid to give me a nice, small view of a 25 man raid. Use a couple of grid addons so I can see 4 dots per corner, so I can track my shield, weakened soul, blessed healing, renew, inspiration, grace, etc on any player.
I use another addon that gives a third line of text which I use for debuffs, like Mark of the Fallen Champion or Infest.
Then I just mouse over the person and press a button. For all of my 10 *must have* casts, they are on non-modifiers, so I can be *very* mobile. Sometimes, say the trash boss before Dreamwalker, I'll target the NPC tank and heal him by mousing over my target's placard. Shield, greater heal, renew, etc. it's fun.
The beauty of mouse over macros is that they work on any frame that targets something. Party windows, default raid UI, healbot frames, grid frames, X-Perl, you name it. They don't require an addon to setup and manage.
The only downside is that WoW's limitation on the number of macros a toon can have is too derned small.
