WoW Moviewatch: Nub Tales Episode 4: Rockhorn (The Resto Shammy)
Episode 4 felt a little more disjointed than the other installments of Nub Tales. Still, I especially enjoyed Yumfries's brief parody of PvP videos. (Although, he missed an opportunity by not using Animal I Have Become.) Rockhorn's heartfelt monologue and Seleserene's portrayal of the earnest spirit healer were both spot-on and hilarious. And for all that Rockhorn (The Resto Shammy) is complete and total parody, I can almost see it as a rallying cry for the plight of the resto shammy in PvP.
In the end, I'm forced to agree with Rockhorn on one thing. If you're going to PvP, wear your PvP trinket.

This is my favorite Nub Tales so far. I hope Rockhorn makes more appearances later, because the character is hysterical (and accurate.)
It was nice for once that a primary character didn't have the high-pitched voice work. I understand that's kind of the series' trademark, but sometimes it's just too grating.

Damn, I'd the same thing!

Maybe it's just me (PvP sooo not my thing) but why he wear PvE gear when his whole thing is about how he does PvP and people wearing PvE stuff (hitting him) is stupid, only a scrub doesn't wear a PvP trinket etc. ?

Maybe it's just because the novelty of this new machinima artist has worn off, but to me, episodes 3 & 4 don't seem as funny or clever as episodes 1& 2. It's hard to say why. Maybe it was just Rockhorn's psuedo drill sergeant voice that irritated me...
It's a well made video, though! I hope he makes more.

I heard the usual voice work and music at the beginning thinking it was going to be like the previous videos (which I enjoyed a lot) and was pleasantly surprised to see some new elements. The voiceover for the Shaman was audible and not grating so I enjoyed that too. Too often do machinima's have some poorer audio quality. While I understand why they do, it's still refreshing to hear something better.

This one was different and I liked it! Honestly, it didn't make me lol as hard as the previous one simply because it wasn't as On The Nose for me, subject wise.
The Shammy character has real potential. :)

Props for the LotR reference.

This one had me highly amused, but no straight up laughs. However, considering it had more thought and design put into it, I will give it two thumbs up.
I think part of it was because I have never seen the serious pvp videos people make. But once I read about that, it made so much sense and I snickered.

Go go go Yumfries. Not quite as amusing as Tears of Noobs or Nub Tales 2 ("I got the Shaaaadowwwmourne!" "Go fork yourself.") but still worth a look for solid machinima.

Holy feck ain't actually lol'd at the machinma i see as hard as that- even the ones that come on here as "funny"- I think its the voice acting and what not, it can tend to put a distance on what im watching if that makes sense (thats not a tauren I'm hearing, thats a 16 year old kid who may well be trying and showing talent and creativity- he just don't sell tauren).
I know thats unfair to the folk that make these things- but that yank accent just suited this so well.

I didn't laugh the first time. Then I realized something. The shammy that heals himself only, while wearing PvE gear, complaining about the rogue with everything pvp except a PvP trinket? Win.
I liked this better than ep 3.
