Cataclysm Press Event: New views of Cataclysm, Blizzard offices
In addition to all the changes announced in the Cataclysm press release event, World of Raids has a flyover video of several of the new zones, including Orgrimmar, Stormwind and Thousand Needles, among others. If photos are more your fancy, Wowhead posted a gallery from their tour of the Blizzard offices, including some gorgeous shots of statues and action figures from the Warcraft line, a ton of gallery artwork, giant plushies and Blizzard's own unique take on motivational posters that highlight Blizzard's philosophy on game design.

Meh, I kinda lost intrest in Cata now that they have removed most of the things I was looking forward to :(

Anyone that's seen the alpha patch build developments, realizes that hardly any effort is being put into one particular faction. I have only seen little camps with tents, at the very most an old modeled and unfinished wall being added. In contrast, the other faction is given new modeled towns and forts absolutely everywhere, full of details and more...
If you want new content, go Horde.
crunk Jun 13th 2010 7:36AM
Yeah, I'm kind of with you on that feeling right now. I've started to call it "Scrapaclsym" now.
Cyanea Jun 13th 2010 12:01PM
Man...I know. They removed guild talents. SHIT. How will we survive with ALL those potential options becoming available as soon as your guild levels. CHRIST!
Cyanea Jun 13th 2010 12:04PM
Oh and Johan? It's alpha. There's no hardwritten rule that says that they have to apply equal amounts of design time to both factions. Maybe the Alliance upgrades are coming next. It's still Alpha. It's likely to still be in Alpha for a couple of months.
You have GOT to admit that the Horde needs more love than the Alliance anyway. Compared current Orgrimmar to Agmar's Hammer or Conquest Hold in Northrend, then compare current Orgrimmar to Stormwind and tell me that the Horde doesn't need more visual upgrades than the Alliance.

I don't know why you (everyone QQing) are not looking forward to a complete and total revamp of the Old World...
You're getting 30+ totally redesigned zones and losing a second, more time consuming talent tree and a one-way ticket to guild drama, neither of which anyone had any specifics on.

Johan - try watching some of the related videos. I saw TONS of new content in Alliance. You would not believe how fu**ing huge Stormwind City has become, and that's only one example!
In other words, check into it before you step into it.

Welcome to channel 8, for your local Orc news at 6.
This just in - due to the remodeling of Orgrimmar, the number of impalings has increased by 92%. Life expectancy of anyone living in Orgrimmar has been decreased by 48 years.
And after the break, recent spottings of SpikeMoose - are they true? We investigate.
Tomatketchup Jun 13th 2010 10:37AM
IT'S ALL SPIKEMOOSE'S FAULT
BKWopper123 Jun 13th 2010 1:39PM
Maybe he will be smart enough to seal the side entrance with more spikes
Sithril Jun 13th 2010 5:13PM
The mysterious Spikemoose?
Come on! Garrosh uses it as a mount! How could no one think of that?
shan.fwd Jun 13th 2010 7:19AM

Noyou Jun 13th 2010 7:20AM
Wow. Anyone not pumped up by that trailer needs to go play something else. I hate Azshara but after seeing the new zone am sad it will be horde only. It looks like this will be a totally different game. With all the new info that has come out over the last few hours- Take your time lady's and gents- this will be well worth the wait :)
olzer Jun 13th 2010 7:30AM
Anyone else notice that at about 2:!5 or 2:!6 outside the stronghold in Orgrimmar, a Naga and a Black Dragon-Humanoid spawn?
Strange :S

Going by the last few announcements.
"Cataclysm Press Event: Cataclysm Cancelled"
"Blizzard has decided to cancel the release of a new expansion and instead work of current expansions. This was to help balance of the currently existing expansions before moving onto a new one.
'We never really got to where we wanted with Burning Crusade, so we are focusing on that for the time being' said Ghostcrawler."
Jormund Fenris Jun 13th 2010 7:41AM
No photos on the inside of Orgrimmar houses? =(
Again, I want to see some french lightning, damnit.
bdew Jun 13th 2010 7:57AM
One of the tags is "wow-4.0.2"... why do i feel like we aren't being told something? :)
Shrike Jun 13th 2010 11:37AM
Because going from prior expansions, #.0.1 or #.0.2 is the most common release number for the actual expansion itself?
#.0.0 is the pre-expansion content patch.
e.g.:
2.0.0 -> BC content patch
2.0.1 -> BC itself (this is the patch on CDs)
3.0.0 -> WLK content patch, not released to public because 3.0.2 was ready at that time
3.0.2 -> WLK itself (this is the patch on CDs)
