Around Azeroth: She moves in mysterious ways
Of all the races in this game, I think female undead definitely look the best as spellcasters. With their tattered robes, glowing eyes and rotting skin, they definitely look capable of hurling a Shadow Bolt up your behind. Shayriss of <Stormborne Exiles> on Kirin Tor (US-H) is just trying to summon her felguard, but she manages to look both eerie and hauntingly beautiful while doing so.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as emailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use Alt Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

For some reason, it reminded me of someone in the middle of the Twisting Nether.

'hauntingly beautiful'
It's probably the first, and also last time, I'll hear a combination of those 2 words again.

It's not that uncommon of a phrase. A Google search for "hauntingly beautiful" (including the quotes, so you get only the phrase) turns up over 500,000 results.

Aw...I looked at those Google search results and they turned me emo. :(

Indeed. Female Forsaken have some of the best casting animations ingame. They are even quite natural when you think about it.
EnigmaEngine Jun 14th 2010 11:51AM
All of the female Forsaken animations are amazing. Hand to hand is particularly good.

Except for running.
I'm surprised they don't bash themselves in the chin with how far they jerk their knees up.
Wulfkin Jun 15th 2010 3:39AM
Their swim animation is always freaking weird.
However all their other animations are fantastic. One handed weapon strikes are the best, my female Forsaken DK looks like a ninja on speed when she dual wields!

One of my favorite U2 songs of all time.
Phil Jun 14th 2010 12:12PM
I agree its a good song, however I like the KMFDM cover of it better.

I'm a huge fan of US, and I hadn't heard the KMFDM one, so I looked it up. It ain't bad, the guy's voice gives a completely new tone to the song:

And in keeping with the usual musical selections favored by WoW.com's staff, here's Faith No More covering Lady Gaga:

I'd tap that.
