It really depends on your individual realms as to which strategy works best for you. Also, it comes down to what your own goals are. For some sellers, it's perfectly fine to sell less glyphs with the benefit of having to spend less time babysitting the business. For other sellers, it's a win-at-all-cost game, with associated hardcore tactics.
