Is there any way to find out the names on the original guild charter when none of the original members are still in the guild, and the guild leadership has been transferred a couple of times?

As far as I know, there is no way to properly track this.
http://www.guildox.com/ offers some limited tracking of who's coming and going in the guild roster for the larger guilds, but only within the past month or so.
The armory can track a particular character's entry and exit for guilds (I think), but I imagine it would be terribly time-consuming to search through so many possible members, and that it doesn't go back far enough for your interests.
You may have more luck if your guild has a guild website. Some guilds (like mine) use sites like guildomatic which you could use to see who the oldest members are.
