Yes, and it was implied that we're speaking of the feasability of addon-less healing with the game now, not in the past before such improvements came around. Remember addons should either

1) Fill a hole
2) Present an alternative style

#2 will always apply, but the sooner that Blizz includes #1 so that everyone can use it, the better.
