Don't be scared, Matt, but DO experiment with addons. They are your friends. You'll be by with a little help from your friends. :)It doesn't need to be a lot, or huge, or crazy, or even super custom- there are just a few things you'll need to know that Blizzard's UI won't be able to tell you. Think of addons- well- adding those things on to Blizz's UI. XDI like this discussion I'm hearing about healers who hear prompts in Vent but claim to use no addons. We should find an entire raid the refuses to use addons. That, I think, would cinch the discussion. If we can find an entire raid that doesn't use addons- and, well, even VENT may be thought of as an addon, or really, a much bigger 'cheat' than any healing addons we've discussed here! So, yeah, interesting stuff about healers using no addons, who nevertheless use them by proxy. That Problem with the pot? Yeah, I remember that happening. For the longest time, I couldn't understand why folks couldn't find the guy in the hot pocket! He's right there on your UI! Then I realized some people were even trying to heal 10-mans without using BLIZZARD'S stock raiding UI, pulling out the frames from the Raid frame. XD
