Holy pally, learned to heal without addons. I wasn't bad and Kara wasn't that hard. Tried many addons for healing and settled on Healbot. I works well and gives lots of info which is really why I like addons for healing. They provide additional info that helps you make the healing priority decisions that keep the raid alive. Now I have a healer of every healing class and have Healbot customized for each.

Can I heal without it? Yes. Am I quicker with it? Definitely.
