I use HealBot on my healing druid. I've used HealBot since I first started queuing for random dungeons. I have healed when it's glitched out and no one died. I've also successfully managed to get people killed when I made poor choices while using the AddOn. This is not because I'm a terrible healer, or because I used an AddOn to help me while doing my healing. It's because there are many other factors that contribute to whether or not my group will wipe on a boss kill in a dungeon. Period. Tank lacking HPs. DPS Pally/Warrior using taunt abilities. Etc.
However, not once has HealBot kept me from doing my job as a healer. I can tell you that through the last weekend of Alterac Valley Call to Arms, I was top of the healing for ALL participants (that's 40 per faction) 90% of the time. Not just by a few thousand, but hundreds of thousands. Sorry, but I'm very aware of how to play my toon and I would bust my butt the same way even without the AddOn. HealBot just lets me see everything going on around me with a quick glance. That can't be a bad thing.
If that makes me a terrible healer, so be it. I'm sure my group members, and raid members appreciate it. *shrug*
