World of WarCrafts: Papercraft-y

World of WarCrafts spotlights art and creativity by WoW players, including fan art, cooking, comics, cosplay, music and fan fiction. Show us how you express yourself; email lisa@wow.com with your not-for-profit, WoW-inspired creations.
If your summer is turning out to be quite cold and dreary (such is life up here in Canada), then nothing passes the time better than picking up a creative and fun hobby -- like scrap booking, or paper craft.
WoW-loving artist Ruth, author of Stamp Off, Eh! has created an adorable duo of cards representing the iconic druid forms of the Moonkin. Pictured above is the Horde version, although she states that she "opted out of doing horns on the Horde one."

The Alliance version has the much more noticeable antlers, and the distinctive purple hue. Both of these were created using a combination of a prepared paper/stamp set, and some custom work.
Also, note the little message box beneath both:
" To a special someone who's always in perfect form!"
Perfect form! Get it! Because it's a druid? They shapeshift? Ah, Druish humor will never get old.

In other news, the feverish fiesta of flame is upon us: The Midsummer Fire Festival! Do you find yourself making notes of all the flames you need to desecrate or venerate? Are you losing track of how many blossoms you need to get that last piece of your costume? Then look no further, fellow adventurers--why not check out this archival goodness for a craft that can solve your problems? This handy magnet will keep all of your scribbles in one handy place (your refrigerator), that way you'll always know if you forgot to go attack Ahune.

Gratz. . . but a horde moonkin without horns is an owl.

or rather, a furby

"I made a moonkin, but I opted out of giving it what is possibly its only defining external characteristic!"
Yea, I think it's pretty much called an owl now.

I have to agree the Horde Moonkin does in no way look like a moonkin, though it is very cute. The staff, she talks about on her blog, should ahve been added in my opinion.

Wow! I had no idea I was featured (found out by accident on wow_ladies LJ community today!).
Regarding the horns, I did try to add them (the low sloping horns that the horde moonkin have) however with the shape of the head they always looked tacked on. I'm still exploring a way to add horns that -work- with the card though!
As for the staff, I'm happy to add a staff for anyone willing to pay for the extra time, effort and materials... I may go make a couple now to compensate for the lack of horns on the horde one :D
Thanks to everyone who has already purchased a few of these cards (and my other WoW themed cards!) it allows me to get more materials and make more cards!!
