It looks like the long wait may be over, as US servers appear to be slowly coming back online from a lengthy extended maintenance. For now the list of servers up is small, and there's been no official confirmation from Blizzard as to whether or not the downtime is over -- however most servers that are up and live are experiencing queues in the thousands and are locked from further character creation at this time. We'll update this post when the servers are officially back up and running -- until then, why not check out the Tuesday Morning Post for reading material you may have missed?

My server, Burning Blade, is up but i cant get in. Says the info isn't correct when i try to login. My authenticator has been acting weird today, sometimes it will display the digi-pass when i hit the button, and other times it won't, almost like the batteries dead...but i haven't had it a week yet. Tried resetting my password just to make sure, still says i typed in the wrong info when attempting to login, but i type the digipass exactly as it appears on the Authenticator. Now its locked out and i have to call to unlock it, but the hold line at the support number is full and they "cant accept my call" and has been since 2 o'clock today. I cant even log on to the forums because it requires my authenticator code, which is not correct...I just hope all this is just screwing up because of maintenance and the patch and will be sorted out by tomorrow :(

The WoW twitter account says that all realms are back up now ... but yeah, I'm stuck at "connecting". It doesn't seem to want to go any further than that ... and I've already tried removing the Cache and WTF files and restarting, so I Don't Know what's with that. Work you thing! Wooooooork!

I feel your pain, but hang in there. Just got on myself (took about 10 seconds from "Connecting" to the character screen) but there's a TON of latency from 1400-2200ms when I'm on a toon with all addons disabled Tests I've run show little to no latency along my actual connection to Blizzard's network so I'm beginning to suspect it's "network chatter" from everyone trying to login right now.

Might have missed it if it's been said but we found out that if you have ever used parental controls on your account you will have to opt in to the real id through battle net

There is an issue with our battlegroup, Stormstrike, that everyone is experiencing where we get stuck at character list retrieval. They're aware of this and looking into it as I post this. Those servers in our battegroup include:
