Patch 3.3.5 is here, and with it comes the introduction of the RealID system, and many, many opinions about the use of it. While I thought the feature was interesting and well worth playing with on the test realms, I do enjoy my privacy -- and until Blizzard introduces an "invisible" setting for the RealID system, I won't be using it. Here's a collection of thoughts by others around the Warcraft blogging community regarding RealID:

- The Stoppable Force has some information about RealID, and suggests that people stop with the righteous indignation.

Yes, that worked for my son's account. But every time I try to change the parental controls on my own account it just sends me the email link for my son's account again. It seems that they didn't expect people to already have 2 linked accounts, both with previously enabled parental controls.

I am using an account my friend gave me. He has 3 other accounts (go figure, he's always getting banned) and then there's mine. We are all under the same RealID; does this mean that if he's on one of his account, and I log onto mine at the same time, he will get booted? Now that RealID is actually being used, is this something to be concerned about?
