Cataclysm: Alchemy mount hinted at on EU forums

However, one thing that we can be sure of is that there is at least talk of doing this, but nothing is certain. We can probably also expect such perks to pop up in other places as all professions are getting a revamp in the coming expansion. And before your fire burns and cauldron bubbles, just remember that we're not even in beta yet and that a lot of things could change.

Goblins should have a ogre as mount. If you have played WC3 the alchemist is riding on an ogre ( but it is the ogre who attacks and stuff ). You can always dream.blah blah blah

You mention Alchemist and a unique mount, eh? ;) We may well have a surprise coming in the future for those who dabble in the Alchemy profession.
Watch this space! I cannot promise it will be an ogre, though. :P

ROFL! That was awesome.
I wondering if it would be something akin to Man-Bat if it were a flying "mount". A Master-Blaster arrangement would be cool too, tho if it were an epic land mount that would be one fast Ogre/Golem (powerthirst fueled fast, so faster than Kenyans). Maybe it's a franken-horse, with bolts in its neck and parts of other horses/mounts stitched together. Get that Mad Scientist vibe back.

God-scmod...I want my monkey-man!

I hate it when God plays Doctor

I think a transformation is the best option. It would be significantly different than Tailored and Engineering Mounts and be thematic with the ingesting of alchemy potions. Also with the whole Jekyll and Hyde thing that Worgen have going on.
I hope it's a flight form.

5g says it's a lawnmower.
Doki-Chan Jun 25th 2010 12:44PM
... which gives you the ability to pick herbs just by driving over them :D
thpthpthp Jun 25th 2010 12:44PM
Nope, it's a the Flying Upside-Down Shaken up Coke Bottle Rocket... (Gnome/Goblin only)
Well atleast your 5g should be enough to buy one.

On further consideration, it could also be a harvester, like the mobs in Westfall >.>

I KNEW Alchemy was a good profession choice, and not just for making money!
Nonette Jun 25th 2010 11:23AM
Maybe a flying mortar and pestle like Baba Yaga of Russian myth? :D
Herm Jun 25th 2010 11:44AM
I like this, but instead of her mortar an pestal, how about her walking hut? An alchemy mount and guild housing all in one fell swoop.
Nagaina Jun 25th 2010 12:30PM
...Annnnnnnd I just had the mental image of my death knight rolling into Silvermoon on the porch swing of a chicken-legged hut that, when it stops, sits down and spontaneously grows a fence of bones and fire-spitting skulls and a front yard full of harvestable herbs.

With built in speakers that blare out Mussorgsky... yep, I'm up for that!
RetPallyJil Jun 25th 2010 11:25AM
Sure, why WOULDN'T someone who mixes liquids together make a mount when a blacksmith can't?
Makes perfect sense, Blizzard. o_O
Despard Jun 25th 2010 11:30AM
Blacksmithing? How would a blacksmith make a mount? I guess you could have a magically powered flying anvil, or something.
Otherwise a blacksmith-made mount would go very, very fast *downwards*, but be stationary in every other direction. ^^
Scooter Jun 25th 2010 11:53AM
I'll die laughing if the next "hint hint" from blizzard is a flying anvil
Zasziden Jun 25th 2010 1:08PM
Mjolnir?
Cyno01 Jun 26th 2010 4:37AM
I still want an inflatable anvil for engineering.
Fletcher Jun 25th 2010 11:26AM
This sounds pretty cool, if it actually happens. Transforming into some flying thing is a possibility - underbelly elixirs can already transform you into a flying wasp, after all. Another possibility would be flying under your own power - just lift off and soar!
Dane Bramage Jun 25th 2010 11:54AM
this would be my wish... just drink a potion and take off. why do we need to change shape? the druids can already do that. no reason to have duplicate themes.
