as a resto shaman, i've also found a way to manage the mana tide totem, which we all know is a lovely totem, but has a stupid cooldown and a stupid duration.

i tend to drop it the first time i get to about 75% or 70% mana, bringing me up to full. by the time i need it desperately, it's off cooldown and i can drop it and save my ass (or some other people's). kinda a little booster.
