On rot face the oozes don't come out faster as the fight goes on anymore. They nerfed it because of it making the heroic mode too crazy or something if I'm remembering it right. Maybe my guild has just gotten too used to it but it really doesn't seem like it gets more difficult near the end anymore

Yes they do come out faster. It's just that the first 2 big oozes still come out real slow. Especially if you are in a high-end guild, Rotface should be under 50% (easily) by the time the first ooze explodes. With certain classes getting increasing damage abilities at 35% and 20%, the last bit of it goes really fast. It's more likely you are just overgearing the content.I run pugs on my alts where we get 3 explosions or more, and they definitely come out faster and faster just as always. They may have slowed the later oozes, but they don't stay at that slow pace of the first big ooze.

The explanation for the ooze speedup on Rotface is simple, and explains what you're all seeing. The columnist got it wrong. The oozes spawn faster over time, not health percentage. If you check the Mutated Infection spells in Wowhead, you'll see that they are interval based, and the interval decreases over time. So, if your raid is killing him really quickly these days, it will seem to you that they aren't speeding up at the end b/c you got him down before the cast interval gets very short. It also means that the columnist was correct, and that you should use Heroism and cooldowns at the beginning when the fewest people are distracted with infections.
