Around Azeroth: Over easy
See what happens when you don't use QuestHelper? Maurina of Blackrock (US-H) was only trying to find some tiny Silithid eggs to feed his Venomhide Hatchling. But after following some dubious directions given to him in trade chat, he ended up among some rather larger eggs off the coast of Silithus. I suspect that in about 30 seconds, Maurina and his pet are going to be swarmed by the Azeroth version of the Giant Isopod (Ghostcrawler's explanation, plus his drinking story).
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as emailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use Alt Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

No, wait, facehuggers are the ones that come from the sacs... never mind me... *grumble*

Me and a few guild buddies have been there. It's the closed off / unused portion of AQ, only accessible by climbing through the mountains and taking a long trek behind where Uldum is located in Tanaris.
Falling through the planet is quite common there, because the landscape has pieces that literally float in the air like a fancy birthday present ribbon at best, and a Dali painting at worst.
Defnitely need to go again before Cataclysm, but the one person who knows the exact route to get there doesn't play on the server anymore. :(

Youtube doesnt play on your server anymore?

Yes thats definitely Ahn'Qiraj zone, you have to go along tanaris coast and climb up at the second beach then go along the plateau west and round south then slow fall across the ravine to get there. It has a lot of weird models including a patch of water in the air. X)

Is this actually on the coast and you can water walk there, or is it a valley in the mountains you have to climb to get to?
Arbolamante Jun 28th 2010 11:08AM
And those posts were about simultaneous. Thanks for the info!

Thank you, Decius.
On a subject related to the zone.... the South Eastern Island far off the coast of Tanaris with the buildings and the pirates. Last time I tried to Far Sight there, it kept breaking on every cast, on the first cast as soon as I put the spell cast maker anywhere close to the island.... eventually I moved down the ocean a ways (was using a Water Walking Pot) and I found a spot I could FS from that it didn't break, but it wasn't the side of the island that looked like you could ride over to it using a WW pot and an epic mount.
Anyone know if they put up Invisible Walls on the side of the island that you can ride to from the coast...? Far Sight doesn't seem to behave that way at any other location, including exploring through Hyjal.

I was using Farsight on that just a couple days ago on my shammy and was able to fully explore both islands. It may be a question of being in the right place, I don't know. I chained Farsight across the water - took about three steps or so just to get to the first island.

If it's the 2 islands that I think you mean, you visit them as part of the epic Scepter of Shifting Sands questline for the opening of the gates of Ahn'Qiraj. They used to be quite a challenge to get to but with a potion of water walking and an epic mount can be easily got to now.
One of the nicer off the track places to visit and discover before the Cataclysm imo

Oh yeah, my screenshot, whats up!
Maurina Jun 28th 2010 7:58PM
And for the record, yes you can still get there, I did it about 5 days ago when I took the screenshot. It's the same way you always did it, no invisible walls there yet.
