Cataclysm Beta: Guild perks

While guild talents may have been scrapped in Cataclysm, the bonuses you would have gotten from them appear to have survived the culling fairly intact -- as of this beta build, guild perks (as they're called) are active and awesome. This list is by no means exhaustive, as chances are good there'll be plenty more in the game.
The full list is after the cut, but here are a few to whet your appetite:

Mass Resurrection, Cash Flow, Reinforce, Bartering, Bountiful Bags and Have Group, Will Travel are enough to make me want to XP grind my guild as fast as I can. love this new system.

I was worried at first when they announced that there would be no talents and they would turn into perks with "stuff like guild banners on mounts!" I almost thought they scrapped all these ideas.
But then I saw this and couldn't stop thinking it made my day whole lot better and its only 1 pm.

According to what Blizzard said at Blizzcon last summer you won't be able to grind guild XP per se, as maximum gain per day will be throttled. This to not completely outcompete small guilds in the leveling race.
Naturally, these plans could have changed over the course of the past year (or 10-ish months anyway), but since we've not heard anything to the contrary I don't believe they have. :)

I meant more like I am going to hit Xp cap as soon as I can each week so that I can get all the buffs as soon as I can.

Why would a warlock ever use their summoning ability when someone can just use Have Group, Will Travel? Just seems a bit of a kick in the teeth to lose an iconic bit of utility.
Ves Jun 30th 2010 11:12PM
Because for Warlocks there is no "2 hour cooldown", perhaps?
jhardin76 Jun 30th 2010 11:13PM
The 2 hour cool down maybe?!?!?
Charlie Jun 30th 2010 11:13PM
Hey, i played a SPriest in BC. How do you think I felt with wrath came out.
Also, it's a 2 hour cool down. It will only be used the beginning of raids to get everyone there quickly. You'll still get to use your summons for replacements and stragglers.
iamtheben Jun 30th 2010 11:57PM
I assume Have Group, Will Travel will only work on guildmates, so if you are in a PUG or have some non-guildies in the run it will still be of use.
JKWood Jun 30th 2010 11:17PM
Two hour cooldown?
Artificial Jun 30th 2010 11:25PM
Yeah, no doubt this will cause all the warlocks to reroll as mages.
Sleutel Jun 30th 2010 11:34PM
Besides the CD, this also doesn't apply for PUGs, I would think.

You have to remember that the new raiding paradigm is 3 small 6-boss raids, rather than one big one. This ability isn't focused on getting one or two people to a place, it's for dealing with that annoying time between raids that we saw in TBC.
You know, when you finished Gruul and everyone said they were flying to Mag but they were really AFK for the flight and you realized 10 minutes later that you were the only person at the stone, 6 people were AFK at Thrallmar, 2 were capping towers in HFP or Terrokar, 3 were farming mats who-knows-where and the rest were AFK and still in Gruul's Lair?
That's what this spell is for. Locks will have an important role in pulling in subs and the like.
Finbarr Jul 1st 2010 9:17AM
Apparently people don't remember when summoning stones were meeting stones. I don't think any lock rolls so that they can summon people. I almost wish I didn't have it so people would stop asking me for it. Same with mage food.
Erin Jul 1st 2010 1:40AM
YA, right on man! How dare they taking away the need for us to abuse warlock shards! And while we're at it lets get rid of those pesky summoning stones too! They've been encroaching the need to bring a warlock to raid for too long now!
Bionic Radd Jul 1st 2010 7:48AM
You are lamenting a slight bit of competition to your ability to summon people? Don't most warlocks get sick of random fools pestering them for a summon? I know on my mage, I get sick of port requests
