If you remember, we first talked about Sluggles Epic Adventure: Adventures in Random Dungeon Land a few weeks ago. Bloodvein Movies promised to chart his progress as he pursued his own completion of the Pocketlitx of Doomhammer Gnome Challenge. It seems like his attempts to level a gnome to 80 before BlizzCon have been going pretty well, but he's run into the same challenge as the rest of us. Specifically, he's had the challenge of dealing with other players in the random dungeon finder.
This movie is pretty funny, and I enjoyed it. I'm already a fan of Propostris, of course. I was especially impressed by the vocal work done by Priestess Rawrbug, who was both convincing as a gnome and a pleasure to listen to. Bloodvein Movies saturated his script with enough humor to support its fast-paced narrative, and I appreciate that he didn't drag this episode longer than needed. It's great work, and I'm eager to see what Sluggles finds in the future.

A) It was funny with a grain of truth B) THE GNOME VOICE IS AWESOME MORE MORE MORE lol... Blizz should hire her for some female Gnome VO work cuz it's entertaining and cute while avoiding the OMG annoying factor... Fun stuff and great idea.
While I wasn't roflcoptering, the nice thing about this is that it's well made, doesn't have all the color washed out of it, is not a music video, and also you get a view of toons outside of the head-on, 30-yards away, third person perspective.
If the perspective and "outside the game-ness" could be achieved by WowCrendor, I think "How to win at PUGs" would be the best machinima ever.
Let me rephrase that because I sounded douche-baggish, and I didn't mean to, was just trying to be funny. I think it's cool that I started something that inspired people, but I just find it funny that I seem to have started a "pug personality" craze or something. Bad pugs have been around for years, but they are apparently just being noticed now. I also refered to myself in the 3rd person, probably because I just woke up.
Finally, I actually liked the video. I enjoyed that it had its own "unique" feel to it. When the machinimators add their own personality to it, which I believe they did, that's when something really comes to life. I didn't really laugh, (although it's hard to make me laugh), I enjoyed the unique feel. I still wish I could delete my first comment.
PS: Reminds me, you really need a delete comment feature wow.com. If anyone trolls me, my response is "lolumad". That is all.
Lol, I understand what you mean, crendor, and I'm glad you take it as a compliment. There were actually some pretty funny vids on bad pugs before you did it too... yours just happens to be the best. :D
Anyway, it was fun working on this first episode and I look forward to doing more!
There was a few laughs and a few duds, but it was still pretty enjoyable overall. I am starting to notice a wave of these "baddies you find in the pick up groups!" type videos, makes me wonder when all the truth is going to be wrung out of the topic and we'll hate it as much as blood elf rap.
Speaking as a pally tank main... I wait for avengers shield IF and only IF I don't trust the dps to let me even hit the mobs before they cut loose. If dps have been ae'ing before I could get the mobs rounded up.. gosh yes, I do need that early aggro. If the dps have been letting me get to the mobs and whack em once or twice then no shield needed.
With dps that let me pull and hit things first, I can chain pull as fast and long as the healer's mana holds out. Leave group one for group 2 knowing aggro is solid, the dps will easily finish off group one and I can get good aggro on group 2 while they do so. Then they fire up on group 2 and as soon as they're half dead, I'm off to group 3.
I've seen multiple group pulls and I can survive them, but imo chain pulling is by far the fastest as long as the dps save the ae for the old group while I get aggro on the new.

Didn't like it that much. Misses humor imo. Nice work on the voices, though.

I liked it! I am planning on a similar series for my lil goblin tank once Cata drops.
So well done here. Kudos, especially to Princess Rawrburg. She nailed the gnome voice right on the head.
With this, I now have a benchmark to aspire upon.
Great work again and keep it up!

Kudos on tank type #1, I've had a DK tank wait for his Army CD for EVERY FRIGGIN PULL!

Wow... I've waited a couple seconds for DnD to be up, but army? Holy crap.

I find it funny that this is the second wowcrendor ripoff, lol.

kidsake thinks wowcrendor's use of third person is just fine. kidsake endorses this
