I may be pulling at tenuous links here, but 'go up on me' is from the upside down faced kid from Family Guy, and I'm pretty sure 'I'm a free spirit, I don't like to be tied down' is Audrey Hepburn's catchphrase from 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'
