It came from the Blog: Midsummer Flamefest snapshots

There was a slight glitch, however. (Perfect is boring.) Robinator didn't have the flight path in the Burning Steppes. But that turned out to be a good thing. We landed in Swamp of Sorrows, rode through Darkshire and then into Lakeshire to get to the Burning Steppes. This allowed us to douse a few more Alliance fires. I should have planned it that way all along.
It was a lot of fun, as usual. This was the first time I had streamed an event, and I liked it. I'll continue to do that from now on. Stay tuned for the pics from the Server Maintenance Party. And I'll let you know what this month's event will be as soon as I know.

" But then the mid- to high-levels abandoned the lowbies at Hammerfall and we took flight paths the rest of the way."
lol Harsh. None of the mages had Portal: Stonard? I must've died 3 or 4 times scarmbling through EK to Stonard just to get that spell on m BElf mage. Ironically, I can see why no one may have had it: I only used it twice for FedEx quests and haven't been back there since.

lol harsh is right. looks like they lost the majority of their participants when they started using fp's. after that the pics became a game of "find the non-dk".

I had the portal, but that wouldn't have helped the lowbies get through the Hinterlands or any of the other zones. The event would have lasted much much longer. Besides, I warned them of the abandonment ahead of time.

you can set it to hide players names from above their head. that way your pics are cluttered with fun loving people instead of a light-blue, word jumble of names.
nice pics though.
Robin Torres Jul 1st 2010 9:43PM
But then people can't see their names up on the site! You don't want them to have a little e-fame?

@Robin Torres
Good point. The Tarren Mill-Hinterlands run is hellacious if you don't at least have basic riding. There's too many wandering mobs to try trekking through the bushes and the Alliance patrol on the road is only slightly less dangerous. After all that you have to deal with Dark Irons /and/ Alliance dwarves on the Thandol Span then run past Alliance guards in Loch Modan-Dun Murogh tunnels.
3 to 4 deaths is what it took me until (already having had two lvl 80 toons) I remembered I could just take the Ratchet-STV boat and ride through Duskwood-Deadwind Pass to Swamp of Sorrows. Doh!
