Knock you down is a fun, short video by Iryzia. According to the song's YouTube page, the creator was having a slow day, encountered the song. It seems Iryzia found Keri Hilson's voice quite enchanting, and was motivated to create this video to feature it. That is, after all, the essential essence of a music video.
Iryzia does still seem to prefer blood elves, but given the genre of the video, I think that's understandable. The video is pretty short and straightforward, so I don't think many people will have much time to get bored. The music video action is pretty standard stuff, though. You have some singers dancing and various camera shots lovingly framing the belf emotes. It's probably not going to rock the machinima world, but I found Knock you down to be pretty satisfying for a music short.

Pop songs are getting old, along with the animations... It's not really creative anymore.
I just wish people would make a better quality of music videos. Normally when they do, most of the time they're run-of-the-mill, like this one. No special lyrics, nothing but some blood elves' faces and some hearts.
That deadmines thing though.. That was something special.
To not be a complete butthole, I went to this person's youtube profile and looked at their other WoW videos. Ok, they like blood elves. I get it. And I even found something with blood elves that I enjoyed in their collection. I thought it was much better than this video spotlighted here today. Yes, it's still belf video, but it's not rap, and it's a well done music video.
Lady Liandrin & Velen/the naruu/the restored Sunwell Jaina & Arthas (could "knocked me down" connote recurring grief?) Wife & Mankrik (probably too tounge-in-cheek for this style, but hilarious nonetheless)
...
That list is really short. Bliz, we need more stories with legitimate couples. I mean, when Thrall & Jaina are the hotest duo in Warcraft, something ain't right.
The first thing I thought was "ok, yet another RnB video". The second thing I thought was "Wait...blood elf females don't have racks that impressive." then I realized what was up, it's a blood-elf female head attached to a female human torso. Honestly, that made me more impressed with the editing job, but less impressed with the designer, as the chest is in prominent focus throughout the video. Even so, Bravo on the editing, I know how hard it is to make transitions like that, as I'm working on my own video which I hope makes it here (Fans of Marco Heitala may be pleased when I finish it, hopefully this year =) )
I thought the overall presentation was good, but I, too, am tired of pop-music machinima. I can't cast too many stones, as all my vids have been music inspired ones.
There are some great non-pop vids out there and some incredible original music vids as well (Welcome to the Deadmines is prolly my fave).
However, inspiration is a fickle and demanding beast and when it strikes, you must follow it through the end, wherever that may be.

"The video is pretty short and straightforward, so I don't think many people will have much time to get bored"
Took me about 15 seconds, frankly :\

15 seconds? You're so quick to judge.
I made it to a whopping 17 seconds before I hit stop. Booyah.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Made it to 30 seconds.
Please wake me when the whole Autotune craze is over.

I don't blame Michael for this, I blame the machinema community in genral.
That said.
Oh. Boy.
An R&B music video with blood elves.

It's sweet and all
But, I really could do with some originality. Some 'Among the Badger Men'. I'm getting fed up with all these dull rap and r'n'b vids.
Delloga Jul 1st 2010 12:58PM
I'm with you on that. Couldn't be more true

I think there are a lot of characters in the Wow universe that could have turned this mechanically-solid-yet-creatively-passé video into something really cool:
Lady Liandrin & Velen/the naruu/the restored Sunwell
Jaina & Arthas (could "knocked me down" connote recurring grief?)
Wife & Mankrik (probably too tounge-in-cheek for this style, but hilarious nonetheless)
...

Wondering if other races were a tad more detailed as blood elves we would have more night elf musicals?
Seriously - my night elf priest looks positively retro next to a blood elf :(.

Actually that's a simple body patch, there isn't any 'editing' involved at all.

How can anyone find an autotuned voice 'enchanting'? It's shorthand for 'this person has a terrible voice'.
