WoW.com's Weekly Comic: Byron, the Tauren Rogue
Welcome to another edition of the WoW.com Weekly Comic, Byron the Tauren Rogue!
Well, they've made it out into the Deeprun Tram. It doesn't bother anyone else that it's eerily quiet? No? Ah, I suppose it's just me, then ...
Also, please pardon any "artistic licensing" I've taken with the tram. I originally had the train several cars long, but was then informed that it's only three cars. It's been a little while since I escaped out of Stormwind. Doesn't the tram look more interesting as a London-style train station, anyway?
Check out the full version right here, and tune in next Tuesday morning for a new page. You can also see all the previous pages in the gallery below.

Nice to see Nessie. Ironforge is always the toughest to do for holiday events for the Horde.
slythwolf Jul 6th 2010 12:08PM
In my considerable cross-faction experience, Ironforge is the hardest opposite-faction city to get into *period*.

Indeed, at Midsummer one can see a gigantic pile of horde bones littering the grounds around the IF bonfire and all the approaches to it. No one needs to guard the tram because the guards will always signal enemy approaches. The circular orientation of IF guarantees that some invaders will lose their way and will be cut down in the hallways. Historically the IF battlemaster was more accessible than in SW so there were usually more PVP-ready players standing in IF, ready to resist any incursions. It all adds up to what Slythwolf already noted: IF is notoriously difficult to enter and even more difficult to leave alive. Er... bubblehearthers excluded.

Gasp! 2 eyes lurking behind Gruuka?
KJP Jul 6th 2010 12:07PM
I did my first Hordeside flame stealing run this past Midsummer, and can attest that "eerily quiet" is a very normal state for the tram these days.
So... people pointed out the tram had too many cars, but nobody asked why hearthstones apparently don't exist in this story?
slythwolf Jul 6th 2010 12:08PM
I was just wondering the same thing.
Cadychan Jul 6th 2010 12:11PM
Now now...that would make for a really anti-climactic story, now wouldn't you say? ;)
jishdefish Jul 6th 2010 1:20PM
I smell some Gnome revenge coming up...
Short and furious Gnomish vengeance.
KJP Jul 6th 2010 7:01PM
Oh, okay, I guess we're closer to the end of the story than I thought. I was picturing their escape as the end of Act I, with Act II involving, among other things, the gnome plotting to steal the shield back.
Slaytanic Jul 6th 2010 12:21PM
So what was it on that guy's shoulder?
And as far as hearthstones, this was probably back when they were still on a one-hour cooldown.
Eternity.

I think, entrails
Prances in Underpantss Jul 6th 2010 3:42PM
Looks like he got a little sloppy when he was eating the guards...
:-P

Gore!!!
Thank goodness we rarely see the end results of our implied carnage and slaughter that we carry out on a daily basis in WoW.
Sindella Jul 6th 2010 1:26PM
If we take the novels (Stormrage, in particular) as reference, a hearthstone is a very rare object...
Hurbster Jul 6th 2010 2:52PM
I don't think our leet band of supah rogues will have any trouble, after apparently massacring the entire population of SW (or so it seems) ... ;)
Al Jul 6th 2010 3:26PM
The 4 of them shouldn't have much trouble, since Derrick evidently dispatched the Stormwind army single-handed. (It's funny because the Alliance are just that pathetic.)
Hurbster Jul 6th 2010 6:54PM
Save us, Master of Cheese, you are our only hope.

I see comics posted here and on mmo-champ, and they're never funny. Why do you insist on posting this garbage?
Bart Jul 7th 2010 11:18AM
can you draw or post anything better?
