This is a colossally asinine idea and this privacy-killing mandatory opt-in direction they are taking this RealID program will end up doing what countless other MMOs have failed to do - kill WoW. I don't say that lightly. I was never one of those people who said this or that nerf will kill WoW or New Game XXX is going to kill WoW when it releases. This is different. It isn't game mechanics or content or dungeon loot. This is peoples' privacy at stake here and Blizzard/Activision doesn't seem to want to treat that with the level of respect it deserves.I've been playing since Vanilla and last night I canceled my account. No drama, no whining... I just refuse to support a company that treats my personal information so cavalierly. Such a shame, I really enjoyed this game too.
