WoW Moviewatch: Imma Tree
Imma Tree is a music video parody of Imma Be by the American group Black Eyed Peas. The original song is a blend of two wildly different beats and flows; it moves from an interesting successor of My Humps into a thriving, throbbing dance floor epic. Imma Tree struggles to maintain some of that energy, but doesn't quite manage to see the effort all the way through.
For Lilydruid's first work, Imma Tree shows a lot of promise for the future. I can completely see where she was going with the video, and the concept could be a strong one. I think song choice was probably a factor here; Imma Be relies on certain DJ tricks and filters. Simply singing the lyrics leaves the music feeling hollow, which unfortunately plagued Lilydruid's effort.
I respect her effort in blending live action with the game's natural animation, as this is a style we don't see very often. I think a lot of people will enjoy the video, and I hope Lilydruid continues growing as an artist.

Yes, they are. Too bad the singing is horrendous. Boobs alone are not enough to make a video good, apparently.
But hey, thanks for sharing them!

I feel like for her first work, she picked a song that wouldn't do her singing ability justice. The editing and costuming were very good, but since it was a first go, she couldn't successfully color herself Nelf colors. I'm looking forward to her parodying better songs with more experienced editing chops. This could really go places!

I will watch her make any video she wants. She had my undivided attention. :)

Indeed, it was very bearable. Just gotta turn the volume down.

Personally, I just want to know what makes this an "Official Video Parody." Did she get a signed certificate from the Black Eyed Peas? Did they willingly let her do such terrible things to this song?

Nah, JK. Imma Bear.

I'm not sure what to think of this - I almost didn't realize there was other lyrics other than "I'mma tree" because they much quieter than my laughing out loud the whole video. And the video... It's a funny "wtf" moment, I would think.

Possibly the worst performance in a WoW music machinima ever. It sounds HORRIBLE. My ears are bleading. Make it stop, please.
Blunderwear Jul 9th 2010 12:28PM
Saying it's the "worst WOW music machinima ever" is like saying "that's the worst poop ever!" You really shouldn't have high expectations for either.

OMG, I spit milk out my nose.

Singing?
*watches video again*
Ohh, right, she also sings.
Berg Jul 9th 2010 4:37PM
Blunderwear: There's poop. And then there's a big monster pile of horse manure. This would be in the latter category.
Banic Rhys Jul 9th 2010 12:20PM
Singing is sub par and one more thing...
*distracted by boobies*
