As you said, there isn't any evidence that the Blood Elven Priests didn't take their power from M'uru, and there isn't any evidence to say that they did. Much of the information on the Official World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade "Blood Knight" page make you think that they didn't get their power from the Narru. It makes it look like all of the people that went and took their power from the Narru, became Blood Knights.
