Actually, Liadrin was a priestess who believed the Light abandoned her after she consumed fel magics. When M'uru was delivered, she became the first Blood Knight; like Uther, she was a priest who learned to fight, rather than like Turalyon who was a warrior that believed. While it was never stated that *all* elven priests lost their connection to the divine, the ones who did worship the Light were severed from their power. Since the only known faith practiced by the eastern elves was Light-worship, it seems pretty likely that some priests were powered by M'uru, just like the paladins. It's also possible that some belfy priests picked up the Forgotten Shadow after the alliance with the Forsaken; a shared racial spell (Touch of Weakness, wasn't it?) hints at this possibility.
