WoPairs is back with another fun, brief video called Feel It In My Bones. As the story goes, WoPairs loved the song so much that she felt she absolutely must create a video for it. And thus, voila. As the song says, she could feel it in her bones. (Do you see what I did there?)
I liked the song, although it didn't do nearly so much for me. The video was fun. Like many other music video machinimas, I could see this video playing overhead or on a DJ monitor as a visual enhancement to the music. It'd be a good backdrop for a little light club dancing or other cocktail-enhanced environment. I had fun with it, and it's always nice to see WoPairs signature styles.
Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an e-mail at machinima AT wow DOT com.
I ADORE Cranius' work. I don't know that he's done anything new in a while. I'm subscribed to him on youtube. I think this is why it's hard for Movie Watch writers. These dance-house belf vids are being cranked out all the time. The are what's new every week. :(
I'd love to see a Cranius or "Gilnean Like Me," rerun anytime but then people get mad at the writers when they re-post even an awesome vid. I feel for 'em. You can't win. :(
"The video was fun. Like many other music video machinimas, I could see this video playing overhead or on a DJ monitor as a visual enhancement to the music."
More blood elves... is that all people mae anymore? No offense to the creator or to WoWmovie Watch, but... could you guys maybe show something OTHER than blood elves? It's gotten really old and I don't even watch the videos anymore when theres a blood elf in them.
I think part of the issue is that a lot of real stinkers get to sent to moviewatch so that after watching umpteen million crappy belf rap videos in a row a video like "Feel it in my Bones" seems really good by comparison.
All I could think when I saw this was 'ANOTHER Blood Elf?'
Look, I like blood elves. Love their lore, planning on rolling a warrior one for Cata, and so on. But enough! There are 9 other races! I would even be willing to see more humans!
...Can't we go back to replay? That was a well done, unique video that had trolls in it. Most noticeably, no blood elves.
All I could think was, Why watch this? The guy was trying to copy the original video to much, and you just can't beat Tegan and Sara/Tiesto. Should've tried to turn it into a story video, instead of a lazy copy.
Now if this had been the ACTUAL Tegan and Sarah song rather than this dance-house rip-off, the music might have been interesting. I know I know. I don't mean to insult the entire genre of remix dance music but in this case just... please NO. MORE!
I was so excited when I heard their voices but then it went all... thumpa thumpa... repeat, repeat, thumpa thumpa... and then I haz a sad. X-p
Maybe us loud movie watch commenters are just that far out of line with our culture but I'm not sure that's true. There seems to be a real longing for some genuine music. Remember how we flipped out over Johnny Cash?
I also don't blame the maker or movie watch. There isn't a lot else out there right now and it's not like I've got the time to put out something I'd like. Machinima takes a hella amount of time, even to put out something just so-so.
WoPairs - keep doing what you do but consider at least throwing a Draenei in there or something? The music you like is the music you like - can't argue there. :) We all have our different tastes.
To Movie Watch - could we get a pallet cleanser like Gnome Chewer's Gilnean Like Me? We've had a lot of Worgen talk. It could be nice for a replay. I didn't want to sound all harsh without offering some kind of alternative.
My apologies, turns out this is at least A original version of this song though I still like the acoustic version more. ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK30n0BlK2k - that is way more the Tegan and Sara I love. :) Don't you just love that these gals can perform with naught but a couple of guitars and the sheer awesome quality of their voices. No auto-tuning, no dancers, no stupid costumes just amazing, skillful music.
/sigh. I'm sounding old right now. Sorry.
I don't have their latest work so I assumed it was the usual remix. My bad. X)

ooooo! Two of my favorite things! Tegan and Sara and World of Warcraft!
Honeydew Jul 12th 2010 12:08PM
Um, wait, I have to say I'm a bigger fan of the original video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQQhibVx5eE&playnext_from=TL&videos=lIMyZg71Gf4

ooooo! One of my least favorite things! Tiresome combination of blood elves thrown into unoriginal music videos!

Disco music? check!
Dancing Blood Elf? check!
Same black dress? check!
Flashy lighting? check!
Looks like this movie is another 'one of those' music videos.
Something more original might be nice for a change...
Nyhm or Cranius, anyone?

Why do you keep giving attention to these lame, carbon copy videos?
Edmon Jul 12th 2010 12:35PM
These music videos are starting to remind me of Chuck Norris jokes in barrens chat.
In other words "Old and Overused".

More of the same, then?

Good song but meh video. Just doesn't capture the feeling the original video did.

I get it! Blood elves are pretty and shiny and all things pop.

After thinking about it we need less pop/rap and various blends of those 2 and more metal: black, symphonic, folk, death etc etc.
Just sayin'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OP-RodivAc would be an awesome song with some Forsaken and Banshee Queen goodness!

Why not split moviewatch in two. One for music videos and one for everything else.
Or even into 3 - dancing belfs, other music videos and everything else
