Gutted? That would mean they took almost all the talents and spells away. They have not and will not. They have not gutted any of the trees and they are not going back to 'vanilla' style talent trees. They are simply not making you use talent points every level as much or at all on degrees on the same talent. ie: 1st point for 20% increase of some spell to 5th point for 100% increase of some spell.

You will also be starting out at level 10 with really good spells instead of waiting until level 40-60-70 etc.

I do not understand people who start complaining about something or write articles like that link above and all the while they are groaning, they state they don't have many details.
