Just wanted to say that I hope these guys do well. Major worthy cause here, and they're brave as hell to do this on a PvP server. Hope they get some friendly level 80 PvP specialists to defend them so this doesn't turn into a 24-hour gankathon. @_@

Yeah...I gotta wonder about doing this on a PVP server. Don't get me wrong...it's a great idea and I plan on donating...it's just...People are assholes, this is likely to attract a lot of attention, and a good chunk of that attention is likely to come from griefers.

It doesn't matter what kind of server they are on. They can get griefed on a PVE server by people messing with their questing by killing everything in the zone. They can simply not state what server they are on.

The more people come to kill everything that they're trying to do for their quest, the more of those mobs will spawn and the faster they will. That's the game mechanics. On a PVP server, they can be flat-out killed and corpse camped. Must more annoying.

Last year they intentionally chose a PvE realm to avoid interference, but jerks who were apparently opposed to the idea of raising money to help sick children still harassed them by depopulating each area they were in of quest items. Since they had no way to retaliate they were forced to instance-grind (in pre-DF days!) the rest of the way to 80.Now they can retaliate.
