The latest Cataclysm screenshot from Blizzard is shown above. A group of beggars stand before Sentinel Hill, begging for the help. I guess. They're either doing that or going for a picnic.

I must have missed the Westfall zone upgrades, cause I've yet to see those Ramparts there. . . But wicked, I can't wait for all the zone changes.

o.o This is westfall? Seriously?

Anyone know if there is any more pictures of the updated Westfall?

The one zone im curious to see if Loch modan, Favourite zone in Vanille WoW.. I just hope the dam still stands. and Thelsamar is not harmed. (Although I'd love to see Thelsamar filled in with water and a quest or two having us swim down into the old dwarve homes to collect an item or two)

The water would have to be so high (in order to flood Thelsamar) that it would pretty much flood the whole zone. And I don't know how that could happen, when the north end of the zone drops off into the Wetlands. All they'd have to do is open the floodgates on the dam, to drain the zone down to normal levels.

Watch for awhile.

Loch Modan is damaged. There is a big crack in the dam, and the water is mostly gone. There are some pools here and there. The river it created in Wetlands is gone.

From what I've seen, the new Westfall and Defias questline is amazingly epic. Makes me really excited to go back into Deadmines and save the day!

It doesn't paint Varian in a very good light though, which is a little dissapointing for me. Though at this point it's hard to say if the complaints are legitimate, exagerated to fuel the Defias propaganda, or just plain and simple people blaiming everything on the government.

Yes! You must do the Westfall quest lines, no matter your race come Cataclysm. My mate enjoyed it.

@jealouspirate: What's different between this and the old lore? In vanilla, the lore made it sound like Stormwind was either incompetent or uncaring, and that the Defias were up in arms because they'd been royally screwed (all puns purely intentional) by the Stormwind government. If the new stuff is disappointing to you, were you expecting them to retcon all that away, or is the new stuff somehow even worse? Stormwind is run by murders rather than simply thieves? I'm trying to imagine how the new lore could be worse than the vanilla lore...

Actually, those beggars are trying to get into the town, and being denied entry. If I remember correctly, World of Raids had something about the zone a week or two ago.

Does WoW.com operate on a day behind schedule pics, or does Blizz put tomorrow's pics up at 5 pacific? I always assumed they put up the current day's pics at the end of the work day, not tomorrow's. Otherwise they could just put up tomorrow's pic when they get in the office the next morning. In that case, today's is actually some Forsaken in what looks like Gilneas.

Almost all posts are queued up to be published at certain times. Look at "Around Azeroth". Every single day you can see it for the next day, and it's publish time is 10AM. That's also why on the Sunday Funnies it often doesn't get the lastest comics because some comics update on the day after the article is written.

So, this being written the night before got the old picture.
