The rules for this campaign are: no ERP (Erotic RolePlay) and no vampires (though death knights are welcome). Everyone is invited to participate. Assume that to get into the guild, you at least pretended to be in full use of your faculties and are willing to fight for the cause. You are all welcome to join us here in the comments and those who wish to play with us in-game should friend Peenk and ask for an invite on Shadow Council (US-RP-A).
Hello! Peenk Sparklebolt here. In order to efficiently lead tonight's Refugee Party, the Operation Gnomeregan engineers have provided me with this gadget thingee. I'm not sure how it works, but it seems that people outside of our guild can actually hear me and see what we are doing tonight. Fascinating. I will be dismantling it to see how it works after this shindig is over.
Anyway, you can hear and see what is happening on my gadget thingee right now, or you can join us at the Refugee Party in Coldridge Pass. But hurry! We're starting immediately.
(( Watch the stream above or at WoW.com's Justin.tv channel. If you wish to join us on Shadow Council (US-RP-A) for tonight's RP event, please read the details and rules for the Refugee Party. ))

Was that your real voice, or a filter? You sound like a Gnome. And that's a good thing.

All good RPers sound like their characters IRL.

I was voice acting! (Though my voice is very gnomish naturally.)

I do have to say every time you spoke I kept reaching for my usual push to talk button to say something back. Haha!
I can't wait to see the instant paintings! I was wondering if you'd see my name suggestion and then you went and continued using it! And I loved how involved the pre-feed RP got. It really made me feel like I was part of a world.

Ah, a live Roleplaying stream, fantastic! I could use a good chuckle tonight while I wait for the latest Beta build.
*ahem* how doth thou doeth?

Ooh look, a fun-sucker in the wild! Let's observe it as it tries to male itself feel better by pestering people who are actually enjoying themselves.

What an unnecessary remark, how rude! Can you believe the indecency these Internet folk have?
uncaringbear Jul 21st 2010 2:14AM
It's always simple to identify a fun-sucker in the wild. Just look for their most common traits: a sense of smugness, misplaced superiority, and an utter lack of consideration for others.

Wow, I just love all the morons yelling stuff.
Just really goes to show how classy WoW trolls are.

Cute... although, somewhat light on the actual role-play. Instead of tour (that feels somewhat pointless) it would have been very fun if you would have developed a story - set up other players as encounters - and basically had something actually happen.
Of course, you will have a mob of unruly players, but since you know that in advance, you could have made the whole event around the fact there is a mob of unruly players.

This was my criticism as well. I salvaged the night by setting up some campfires that fostered some very fun light roleplay.
Robin Torres Jul 21st 2010 12:23AM
Perhaps next time. :) But I only had less than a day to plan, really. I was surprised by the Zangarmarsh downtime -- didn't expect it for a little while longer.

There are some powerful addons you could take advantage of next time to actually have a quest-chain set up. Place a few experienced RP players to act as NPCs at points throughout the zone with specific Gryphonheart Items-created quest items to guide participants through a story.

That fireside RP was really fun. It really made a big difference for me compared to just grouping up and running from point A to point B. Although that was fun too! :D

Amazing gathering of the Gnomez :D

Such an awesome party and left very satisfied. Thank you Robin for all the work you did and it really turned out great. I'm hoping there is another party soon :)
/bow to Peenk ;)

What a night.
A group of young gnomes and I ventured out through Coldridge Pass before our supply run to learn to cook at the Kharanos Inn. To combat the biting cold, we built some campfires and enjoyed some lovely fireside chat.
Then when the time came to assemble and deliver supplies to Tannok at the Thunderbrew Distillery, I helped establish order by organizing the massive force into a beautiful line. My good friend Hands was very appreciative, as it prevented mass requests for supplies, overriding the supply machine or something like that.
After that, mass chaos... mob mentality took over and everyone decided to slaughter every boar in Dun Morogh. Very sad. I took my stuff over to Steelgrill's Depot and established a campfire there to keep warm. I was soon joined by some kind elves from Darnassus, a Wildhammer brotha, and Splink, one of the curious gnomes from earlier. We had some lovely fireside chat once again before the night grew long and forced me to retire.

Ah Flinnt!
I do believe we met... Where were we, Bah, hold on let me get my MemoRY-Zipzap device to refresh my memory.
Ah yes! We were killing wolves together for some fine leather to keep ourselves warm from the biting cold out in Dun Morogh. Great mace swinging skills I must say! If you feel the need to swing faster, and harder at these beasts please let me know! I'll gladly invent a contraption of the sorts for you. Now where did I put those blue-prints... Bah.
Anywho, I should probably get to sleep. Hopefully I can invent something that removes the need to sleep... Sleep slows down production time!

That was so much fun. Thank you for making us refugees feel welcome!
((This was my first time trying WoW RP, I'm going to work on my Gnome Mage more to be ready for the next time we have one of these meetings.
For anyone watching you missed out on a ton of RP before the event, including a Dwarf giving a lore lesson and some Gnomes seeing Men, Elves, and Drenai for the first time. It was great fun!))
