Deathwing is pretty prepared to unmake you and your world, as evidenced in this set of daramined Deathwing encounter clips. While fairly innocuous, the clips could still be construed as spoilers, so listen at your own risk.
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will destroy Azeroth as we know it. Nothing will be the same. In WoW.com's Guide to Cataclysm you can find out everything you need to know about WoW's third expansion. From Goblins and Worgens to Mastery and Guild changes, it's all there for your cataclysmic enjoyment.
I disagree, Hivetyrant; I thought Malygos' voice fit him perfectly for the character that he was. Giving him a generic, deep, orc-sounding voice would have been terrible.
Lots of these voices are starting to sound the same to me. While I like the gravel in his voice and the echo seems appropriate I don't think this voice is big enough or indeed mad enough for Deathwing. When I hear Deathwing's voice I want to be able to know it's him without checking, without wondering if it's someone else.
But has the sun has gone down and the moon has come up? As far as I knew, long ago somebody left with the cup. But he's striving and driving and hugging the turns, And thinking of someone for whom he still burns.
Yes I agree Blizzard need to make a real big bad guy with a high pitch voice like Mike Tyson or to a lesser degree Brock Lesnar. It would be comical and strangely more life like.
I personally disagree with the "not mad enough" assessment... Well, not so much disagree as feel that they should take a different approach to it as what you're thinking of. I get the feeling that Deathwings madness isn't the gibbering insane madman deal, but more the remorseless sociopath. Willing to do anything and everything to see his goals fufilled, no matter the cost.
When he is winning and in control of the situation, his voice should be deep, confident, unbreaking, powerful. I keep thinking something along the lines of the late, great Orson Welles as Unicron. When things start getting away from his master plan, his insanity starts to show, manifesting in his voice as pure, unbridled rage, his innate savagery taking over his otherwise calm demeanour.

Yo Deathwing, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish, but Sargeras had one of the best apocalypses of all time.

Oh man, do I detect some more hot Metzen voice action?
Pow Jul 22nd 2010 7:29PM
I don't care how many filters they run over his recordings... he always sounds the same. He's Blizzard's own version of Cam Clarke!

I thought the WoW version of Cam Clarke was Cam Clarke?

Finally an epic sounding voice (though LK was pretty good too)
After hearing Malygos's voice I was very dissapointed and assumed they would make all the aspects have lame voices, VERY happy to be corrected!

Dissapointed, Metzen sounds just like Thrall with an echo.
If I didn't see the title saying it was Deathwing, I'd guess it was Evil-Thrall...

epic!

I don't think his voice is deep or loud enough. It sounds like one of my brothers growling at me through some sort of steel pipe.
I was imagining him having a voice that caused bowel-shaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse, that assail me, impale me with monster-truck force.

One that goes the distance? One that goes for speed?

I blame Blizzard spending all their voice acting budget on hiring Tricia Heifer for SC2 for Metzen voicing everyone and their uncle. (No, not really)
