The Guild's new music video: Game On
The Guild has released a new music video, which was originally debuted at San Diego Comic-Con last week. This time, they've jumped from the virtual scene into the Bollywood scene. Zaboo (Sandeep Parikh) leads a song in which he tries to convince Codex (Felicia Day) to put down her book and jump into the game. The set is complete with a full ensemble of dancers, wonderful choreography, the rest of The Guild's cast and even a real elephant. They did a wonderful job of mimicking Bollywood style and still keep with their usual sense of humor, which shows up in everything they do.
This comes in the middle of their season 4 storyline involving the quest to build the better guild hall, as well as Codex's usual dose of drama where gaming and real life collide. Check out their latest adventures on Bing.

Well I don't know if it was better, but it was catchier... This has a cooler music video by far IMO :D

I liked date my avatar, and I like this one... can't really decide which is better. Maybe I like em equally? One thing is I definitely give respect to those people for being creative. Even if it's cheesy or whatever, it's just plain fun, and definitely a catchy tune.
Wondering if the electronic dance music producers around the world are gonna remix those songs into various genres (hardcore, trance, hardstyle, breaks, drum n bass, etc)

There is more than just one episode out. There are two for season 4 out so far.

Not a bad song, the only part i really enjoyed was Vork's part getting the "buffalax" treatment: "My loony bun is fine Benny Lava"! xD

I guess this community only recognizes quotes when it has links in it =P

LOVEd this one, much more than Date My Avatar actually. I have a soft spot for Punjabi Pop though.
Hellwraith Jul 27th 2010 9:25AM
Agree, Date my Avatar was awesome... I think it's all the Bollywood concept that I'm not so fond of, but even with that I really enjoyed this one. How they merged everything is what really got me going. Of course, everything gets better when Vork appears :P

:D That was great, I loved the imitation of the Bollywood style. I didn't know that was what it was called, but I could see and hear the similarities.

Fantastic!!!

When she did that Bollywood singing vibrato thing, I just had to surrender to the unstoppable force of Felicia Day.
And she looks very cute in the sari's, but unbelievably white.

I LOVE HER T_T
Seriously tho, you're right, it was absolutely hilarious and that girl actually isn't huge. She's a living ivory statue.
We love you Felicia!

I have to wonder if she's been taking singing lessons, given the marked improvement in her singing here. To be honest, at first I thought she was lip synching.
Her work in Dr. Horrible was good but not "she's a professional singer" quality. "Date My Avatar" was too autotuned to tell how well she was doing, but this one sounds much more technically demanding and higher quality.
I wish I knew better singing terms but her old work always sounded like she was hesitant and restrained and this song sounds like she's projecting, almost aggressively trying to sing rather than worrying about staying in the lines... Dang it, I never thought falling asleep during Sr. Mary Frances' music class would hamper me later in life.

You should check Dr Horrible's Commentary: The Musical. She did a lot better there. (Also I heard that while they were recording for DR Horrible, she'd had a cold. The difference between the two was noticeable, it really affected her pitch.)

@Qot: Your autotune-detector needs tuning.

Where do I get a Felicia Day ass keyboard?
