I added the mention of snares in PvP, because that's a good point, but as for Shadow Word: Death ... um, no. It's not a great DPS boost. You shouldn't use it to fill in gaps, especially when you have Improved Devouring Plague.

And self-healing ability aside, if that thing crits before/after you take a major hit (Festergut?) ... well ...
