I have seen Attumen drop once on an achievement run and it went to the worst player in the group, on his rarely played alt no less. I added him to all my friend lists just to see how often he logged cus I was pretty pissed at losing it (I've been farming him once a week for over a year now) and I think he's logged maybe twice since then.I saw a noob shaman (wrong talents, wrong spec, no english when i tried to whisper him) just today in Dalaran riding Rivendare's Deathcharger. I checked his armory to see his kills and he'd killed the baron a grand total of two times! I guess he got it by accident while leveling. I have killed the baron over 90 times without seeing the mount drop, a friend has killed him 224 times and hasn't had any luck so far. I'm sure I share this pain with many others here. How come the idiots or once-a-month players seem to have all the luck in the world in this game all the time? Random is random, I know, but still there should be as many normals as idiots with crazy luck. Just saying I haven't met many intelligent players who were also insanely lucky in-game.

wrong spec = wrong gear/gems; it's late over here.

Oh that's nothing. My best friend once watched a Death Knight take down the TLPD and then say in General "Now to save up the money for epic flying."....Yeah. I know.

SO let me see if I have this correct?Your friend saw a DK get LUCKY with a rare spawn and win something that everyone else was going for too? AND he didn't have the money on him to use said item? That IS horrendous, I mean, imagine if someone won the lottery and had never had money before? What the hell would they do with it? That money should have OBVIOUSLY gone to someone more deserving, like someone rich already. They would know exactly what to do with that money, not some plebeian neanderthal poor noob. And the other guy lost a mount to a noob who's lack of skills have proven he doesn't deserve things like rare mounts. Only the 1337 have earned these rare mounts, damnit.I feel for you guys, you should file a gm ticket to have these atrocities rectified.

I've been happy about my luck on some drops. Usually if I see something rare drop, it's mine. I've gotten the OS3D 10/25 drakes (both on the first time I rolled for them), the brewfest mount (which I sold to a dwarf friend for 2k (don't really care about it), the hallows end mount (sold for 7k + some other stuff). The bad side of my luck is that nothing really drops. 200+ rivendare kills... been farming ZG for the last year; have done Kael'thas and MC for the legendarys for a LOT...

"And the other guy lost a mount to a noob who's lack of skills have proven he doesn't deserve things like rare mounts. Only the 1337 have earned these rare mounts, damnit."You've obviously never known the frustration of farming something very rare for months and then watch it go to someone else who has no real use for it, has no real interest in it and probably doesn't even understand the value of it. I wouldn't have minded if the mount went to someone who played regularly. Regularly as in more than once every 3 weeks.Perhaps I shouldn't have used the word noob, I knew that would've grinded someone's already overgrinded gears and would make me look like a condescending asshole. I'm not leet, I'm pretty casual and normally I'd react like you did, but goddammit it's one of the few things I really want in this game and I hate waiting for another year to get another blessing from the RNG.How about you farm that shit for a year and go through the same scenario. I hope you don't smash a hole through your wall cus I almost did./wall built.

Took me 246. Consider it gold farming, plus the chance at a really cool bonus.

You guys are funny for the way you voted lockanon's comment down. Sure he was snarky but he was responding in obvious frustration to the original comment from Tyr, which reeked of entitled elitism (sorry dude).I am one of many who hates this comment system. One of the things I hate most is the voting up or down--any unpopular comment gets voted down, even if it's well thought out or written. Sometimes I come along and vote them up just to be contrary.

It was not well thought out, and I consider it a step past 'snarky'. The stories are like when my raid goes and does a OS+3 for the drake and has to pug 1 dps, and the pug wins the drake, 2 weeks in a row. Not like they didn't deserve it, but Lady Luck is having fun at our expense. There's no elitism here.Don't be a jerk.

That's a little scary man. Remember it's a game. Supposed to be a little entertaining.

Can't upvote Lockanon enough, RNG is RNG is RNG. Nobody 'deserves' anything with regard to RNG.

It's probably the same sort of thing that leads to 80-year-old grandmothers hitting the lottery for $1,000,000 a year for life.
