Well, depending on the player and with the sole exception of some seriously high end raiding (hard mode LK level players) moonkin are on a pretty even playing field with mages.A great moonkin can out damage even a solid mage. The issue is more that as the spec gets further and further in to content it becomes *less* interesting.As it stands, I'm using a single dot for the purpose of a small buff to my nuke I'm using with Eclipse and to keep a crit buff. Where as the spec used to use DoTs as a regular part of the rotation, they're just afterthoughts now.This isn't quite as bad as BC, where we just cast Starfire over and over again, but it still is a sad state to see what're currently talented spells fall off of use due to poor scaling.
