Updates to Cataclysm models, Malfurion Stormrage

As of the latest patch to the Cataclysm beta servers some models are seeing more updates, including Malfurion Stormrage, pictured above. Either spending too much time in the Emerald Dream has some seriously adverse effects or ingesting too much morrowgrain causes some really weird biological errors, but Stormrage is now sporting a brand new pair of wings, some serious tattoos or tribal markings, and is now pittypatting around on little bear feet. Check out MMO-Champion for the other new models, including a revamped Twilight Ascendant and what is possibly the new goblin mount, as well as preview shots of the new dungeon sets for casters.
As for Malfurion Storkmrage and his new model, all I can say is that I am sincerely hoping we see him get into a fistfight with Varian Wrynn.

Hah Tyrande was a little waspish and bitchy BEFORE ... wait until she finds out she's married to a walking zoo.

This basically means Malfurion has access to the new triple spec feature and he's got all 3 active at the same time.
I remember a few years ago reading how Malfurion's always been metzen's favourite character and how Malfurion's the closest thing the WoWverse has to superman.
This just makes it official, how the hell do you fight someone that can fly without using mounts or forms (a seriously huge feat in the WoWverse) heal himself/others/the earth itself (as demonstrated in Warcraft3) and can use the elements...
He's not Naruu or Titan level, but damn he sure looks like he could solo deathwing...
All I have to say is, where's your rhonin now lolz

The old pantheon of Azerothian Demi-gods and other powerful entities has been all but wiped out, between the War of the Ancients and all that has happened in the millennia since. I have a hunch that the story of Azeroth is coming to a point where a set of powerful mortals rise to immortality as overseers of Azeroth, either by their own right or as incarnations of past deities. Malfurian certainly looks like a good possibility for the reincarnation of Cenarius.

I guess that's what you get when you marry a Druid. Never know what you'll come home to that night :P
Ugh, massive dislike for the possibly goblin mounts. Hot Rod = cool. Tricycle = very, very not cool. Suppose it won't mater by the time I'm flying, I'll just have my rocket by then.

EPIC BEARD MAN!

I'm sure Tyrande will be quite happy with the change.
You see... He's also part horse.

@Elmouth If your read the Stormrage book by the end its said outright that he is now more powerful than Yesera. So your right he is a "superman." Power of an aspect in the Body of a night elf.

The boring lorenerd answer - he is a druid of the wild. This means he can use the abilities of the Druids of the Claw (bares), Druids of the Talon (flying form), and whatever else Druids of something there are.
As for why he seems to be in all forms at once I don't have a clue.
Draelan Jul 30th 2010 2:10PM
"This means he can use the abilities of the Druids of the Claw (bares)"...
Well, that explains why he's shirtless, at least!
Sorry, couldn't help myself on that one. lol

Oh god, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought of Santa Claus upon seeing that beard.
Malfurion, my gift to you is a pair of scissors. Trim that beard! And lose the weird mustache coming from your cheeks....

I don't know if the Blizzard dev team was drunk when they designed this... but for their sakes I hope they were.
