I should clarify that, in order to get a feel for the difficulty of the place without overpowering it, I went in and started replacing my gear with quest gear right away. So my observations are *hopefully* closer to what a middle of the road DK would experience.

It also helps that the Poisonfire Greatsword drops after 2 very easy quests, so that's a huge upgrade for any newbie death knights right away.
