I play, and my 13yo daughter play, and like what I expect most parents try to do is set things up to control the most offensive things from getting through. That being said, there are still plenty os aholes in trade and other public areas that make for virtual land mines that need to be reported. Never gonna do better than that. However, Vrykerion mentioned something that could help make things safe for erp folks to be safe around kids as well. Not that Trade should become RP, but that Blizz should have two new dedicated channels - RP and ERP, with ERP an item that can be blocked in parental controls. Most of my characters are on MG, but I dont do much RP, because it gets lost in the chatter. A dedicated channel would help find other RP folks when you feel like it. Also the erp would allow a safe place for folks to say what they want without annoying the world around them. Of course, some kids will hack through the parental controls for access, but that is your issue, not Blizzs'. Like when your kid cracks the adult channels on the cable box :)
