I've been going back an forth on whether or not to level a new character from scratch. I just didn't know if the 1-60 game was going to change enough to be worth it. But this just cinched it for my new warrior. It's really starting to seem like they are putting a whole expansions worth of content into the old world alone.

I'd highly recommend doing just that! I've been leveling my worgen hunter in the beta for the past week, and so far every single zone I've played had an epic questline, one single story weaving through most of the quests and finishing the zone in an event styled in a way comparable to wrathgate. It's really really well done :D
So well done that I haven't been interested yet in checking out the 80+ content much at all, I'm having too much fun in the old world!

Having just finished Cape of Stranglethorn though, I must say that I did see nothing of the above pictured treasure.. the statue looks closed to me, so hm.. maybe the draenei above knows something I don't know or it's just a story.. ! ;)
Then again.. no worries, something MUCH more epic is in store for Booty Bay than mere pirate treasure...
